INCLUDED
Group and private chat, microphone and camera.
Light has no games, screen sharing, file transfers, radio, aquarium or
remote desktop control. It uses your existing WinTalk account and servers.
Full and Light apps have separate local settings and startup options.

WINDOWS · ZIP
Extract the entire WinTalk-Light folder into its own location and run
wintalk.exe. Keep every subfolder, including system. Do not mix this folder
with the full edition. If Windows reports missing Microsoft C++ libraries,
install vc_redist.x64.exe when supplied.
Quit the application, including its tray icon, before updating.

LINUX · TAR.XZ
Requires Linux x86_64 and glibc 2.39+ (Ubuntu 24.04+ / Debian 13+), X11 or
Wayland and PulseAudio/PipeWire. Extract the whole folder and run wintalk.sh.
Qt is included. Keep the licenses directory. Shared libraries can be
replaced with compatible builds under their respective licences.

ANDROID · APK
Requires Android 8.0+ and an up-to-date Android System WebView. Open the APK
and, if asked, allow installation from that browser/file manager. Install
updates over the existing official Light version. The app identifier is
wintalk.eu.light; it can coexist with the full WinTalk app.
Allow microphone and camera access when you enable those features. Calls
stop when the app goes to the background or the phone is locked.

GET STARTED
Sign in or join with a nickname and invitation code, choose a channel, then
enable your microphone/camera. Remembered login can be enabled in Settings.
On Linux it requires an unlocked desktop keyring. Disable autostart before
moving the desktop app folder, then enable it from its new location.
