WinTalk 0.5.1 tls — Linux x64 English · Polski: https://wintalk.eu/downloads/linux-readme.txt INCLUDED Group and private chat, microphone, camera, screen/window sharing, file transfers, radio and the Poker and WT Worms game rooms. You can return to WinTalk and reopen your game without leaving the table or match. WinTalk Light is a separate edition with chat, microphone and camera only. REQUIREMENTS AND STARTUP Linux x86_64, glibc 2.39+ (Ubuntu 24.04+ / Debian 13+), an X11 or Wayland desktop, and working PulseAudio/PipeWire audio. Qt libraries are included. 1. Extract the entire WinTalk folder. Keep all files and subfolders together. 2. Run wintalk.sh, or ./wintalk.sh in a terminal opened in that folder. 3. Sign in or use an invitation. Choose a channel and enable your mic/camera. Before updating, quit WinTalk, including its tray icon. Extract the new download into a new folder. Your settings are stored separately in ~/.config/WinTalk/WinTalk.conf. Run as your normal desktop user. LOGIN AND STARTUP Enable remembered login in Settings. Your desktop keyring must be available and unlocked. Disable autostart before moving the program, then enable it again from its new location. A working tray/AppIndicator is needed to keep the window hidden; the window reappears if no tray is found. SCREEN SHARING Wayland sharing depends on your desktop's screen capture portal. X11 uses the capture options supported by Qt. You can control a consenting Windows participant's shared screen; remote control of a Linux desktop is not supported in this build. LIBRARIES AND LICENCES Keep the licenses directory with the application. Qt 6.8 is dynamically linked under LGPLv3. The shared FFmpeg 7.1.5 build has GPL and nonfree components disabled. You may replace shared libraries with compatible builds and debug modifications as permitted by their licences.
